LISTEN HERE WII, your graphics are terrible and your games are not that great! So let the the PlayStation 3 take over. Sorry I'm just venting on how much i dislike the Wii. PlayStation Move should be coming out sometime in the near future, and i can't wait until it does. For one thing PS3 Move is going to awesome games, and graphics to go with the system, there for making the PS3 always a better choice, and yes your still going to have to MOVE!!! here's the best part theirs no wires between the controllers so yeah you can actually move like a crazy person, with out snapping the wire.

I'm pretty sure most have gone down to the shore at least once or twice in their life, or even any arcade for that matter. Furthermore I’m sure we were all over taken by beach head 2000 the yellow machine you pull down over your face, and the torrent moves around and you move with it. This was a great game it was virtual reality in its own way. However, this is some that I think will be coming out sooner than later, but for now its release date is still very much in the future. For one thing, I do feel this will benefit in ones fever towards exercise because you are the game you have to make the movements the people do on the screen. In fact who knows, this might even make society a little thinner in the future. Check out this video can’t wait for this to come out sadly I know its goanna cost an arm and a leg http://mashable.com/2010/03/19/vr-hamster-ball/

Procedural Generation?
-Apperantly, anything that is to be discussed about future gaming, Spore's is a big topic. Will Wright, the creator of the popular game The Sims also Sim City, has created this gamers paradise.
-you start as a single cell organisum and evolve into a creature in which you have created. Into tribes, the cities then planets.
Then you can travel to the other planets and build warships and eventually wipe those" aliens" out.
-The question is: "how the hell do you fit an "infinite" number of aliens and planets into a few DVD worth of data?"
-and-
" The is answer is a technique called procedural generation, which just means the game doesnt store millions of creatures, it just stores the methods by which they can be built: you, the gamer, make the creatures."
Pretty Cool...huh?

PC Gaming
The one thing that just keeps getting better is computer gaming. Being that it’s a computer, you can do so much with, however it can get very expensive. I personally a true PC Gamer, believe graphics on PC look Ten times better on a computer, and for the most part like PS3 the internet is free, if you need a controller, plug one in. PC gaming is always going to be a very strong competitor. One reason is because the people that knows how to hack or download games get away with it. However, pirating is not legal, nor is it worth throwing your life a way for stealing a game. Here is the cool part about computer gaming coming this summer there’s going to be a software upgrade for PC and MAC you do not have to have a super Alienware PC. OnLive is going to be a like a little router that broadcast the game to your computer, and like I said before you do not need to have a super computer. I watched on YouTube, one of the creators form on live play Crysis low grade PC and it looked awesome and ran grate. Check this stuff out if you don’t believe me.

It's Time To Rock Your Socks Off!
Rock Band essentially picks up where guitar hero leaves off. It uses the same style of guitar used in guitar hero but also has devices that are used to play the bass guitar, and drums parts to songs as well as sing through a microphone. Rock Band allows up to four players to simulate the performance of popular rock music songs by playing with controllers modeled after musical instruments. Players are scored on their ability to match scrolling musical notes while playing instruments, or by their ability to match the singer's pitch on vocals.
Players with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions can interact through both online and offline multiplayer capabilities. In addition to the 58 core songs included on the game disc, over 1000 downloadable songs have been released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii versions, with more added each week.
No Stairway To Heaven
Guitar Hero is a video game that uses a guitar-shaped device to simulate the playing of lead, bass guitar and rhythm guitar across numerous rock music songs. Players match notes that scroll on-screen to the colored fret buttons on the controller, strumming the controller in time to the music in order to score points, and keep the virtual audience excited. The game initially used mostly cover version of songs, but most recent titles feature soundtracks that are fully master recordings, and in some cases, special re-recordings, of the songs.
The game currently has seven major releases and four expansions on gaming consoles, and with spinoffs for Windows and Macintosh systems, mobile phones, the Nintendo DS, and an arcade game, with several more titles announced for future release. The Guitar Hero franchise has become a cultural phenomenon and has impacted both the video game and the modern music industry. The first game in the series was considered by several journalists to be one of the most influential video games of the first decade of the 21st century.

Cell Phone Gaming
has handheld racing games that steer the car as you turn your phone the direction you want the car to go... or how they made it possible to play Guitar Hero through your phone as you press the chords via screen/buttons... the phones with internet access can download any game made available on the internet. Its amazing how games, that used be be only for video game consels or home PC, are now able to be played by taking out a small gadget from your pocket at any time, any place. Some games, if played by someone with the same phone can become multiplayer and play at thee same time. Other phones that are touch screen allow two people to play at once, the phone can be laid flat and the opposite ends and the screen slits allowing each person to play half screen. Gaming is continually expanding, but the asspect of gaming through your cell phone is very interesting to me.Friday, March 19, 2010

Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released by Nintendo. The Wii is Nintendo's smallest home console to date. As of March 2010, the Wii leads other consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in worldwide sales and in December 2009 broke the record for best-selling console in a single month in the United States.

Super Nintendo vs. Sega Genesis
Where Nintendo had Mario as a mascot, Sega had Sonic the hedge hog. With his hip attitude and quickness, he was marketed to seem "cooler" than Mario. This led to a wider success for the Genesis and would eventually propel Sega to 65% of the market in North America.
But that’s was only for a brief time. With strong market competition from Sony’s Playstation and Nintendo, Sega no longer makes consoles. Sega is still around, but today they focus all of their resources on gaming.
Ultimately Nintendo won.
PlayStation (2)

Playstation 2 is the best selling console to date having reached 140 million sold by Sept 30 2009.

Nintendo
Everyone knows the word Nintendo, but does everyone remember Nintendo? Not DS or Wii, but the original Nintendo Entertainment System.
Nintendo was released in North America, Europe and Australia in 1985. It is heralded as the best-selling gaming console of its time. Nintendo set the standard for consoles in everything from game design to the controller layout which is still used today by many other gaming consoles. With games like Mario Bros., Zelda, Double Dragon and Paper Boy it revolutionized gaming.
Nintendo was at the forefront of gaming technology in the 1980’s, with games like Duck Hunt, that used an electronic gun to shoot ducks on the screen. The ducks appear one or two at a time and the player has to shoot them down for points. I even remember playing a game called Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, where you play as Michael Jackson himself, and he has to rescue kidnapped children to advance to the next stage.

The Arcade- That's where all the cool kids play
It dosent matter who you are, what your age is or what town you came from, we all remember the Arcade. As long as you had quarters in your pocket, it was game on. So many games to play... there was Pong, Pac-Man, Frogger, Donkey Kong and many other classics. Then there were my personal favorites, Mortal Combat and Street Fighter. To me it did'nt matter which one I was in front of, as long as I had quarters, I was there with a joystick in my left hand and used my right hand to button smash.
The heyday of the Arcade has come and gone, but for me it will always be the place where all the cool kids play.

PlayStation (one)- Some dates and Memories
PlayStation become available( according to absolute-playstation.com) to us and arrived in stored, in North America, on September 6,1995. This doesn't seem too long ago, but for me it feels like forever. I'm 21 and this game came out when I was 7 years old about to be 8.
It was then released in the UK and Europe on September 29, 1995 (my 8th Birthday!)
"By, January 1996, PlayStation's worldwide availability makes it a global phenomenon, shifting 3.4 million units globally- some 518,00 of those in Europe."(computerandvideogames.com)
During my research, I came across something that some may remember, The Society Against PlayStation- "This series of adverts, that featured boffins warning us of the dangers of PlayStation, launched what would first be impressive, controversial yet never dull TV as campaigns for Sony. This was kind of rubbish, but it did the job- and its" never underestimate the power of PlayStation" tageline entered the public vocabulary." HaHa. People did get pretty rowdy about video game violence, I remember in 5th grade writing those famous "How do you feel about video game violence and what should be done about it" papers. But think about how it is today, the games that kids and I mean little kids, play on a regular basis. They are violent with a capital V. And who supplies them with these games? Their parents, guardians, older siblings.. But that's a topic for a different day.
By January 1998, " At least 400 PlayStation games are now available to buy in Europe, with a bewildering
1,150 out of Japan. 200 million PlayStation games have been sold worldwide." I didn't have my PSone until I was like 11 years old but I do remember all my favorite games. Such games as: Gran Turismo, Ape Escape, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot (which i played religiously), this really weird game that me and my dad went head to head on- Worms Armageddon, Dino Crisis, Driver, Frogger, Need for Speed, Resident Evil (which scared the crap out of me, but still loved), Tony Hawk (endless hours doing stunts and tricks), a game me and my cousins loveddd to play- Twisted Metal, WWF Warzone ( yes during this time I was a HUGE wrestling fan) and so on.Feel free to comment and add some other memorable PSone games that I may not have mentioned- I'd love to hear them.
